eVent is a fabric technology that is made up of expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), a microporous material, and boasts full windproof and waterproof capabilities. Similar to Gore-Tex, it maintains breathability by allowing sweat vapours to exit whilst preventing liquid from entering. eVent technology differs from GTX in that it utilises a drying system called DirectVenting which reduces the risk of overheating by expelling moisture from inside the fabric without the need for body heat.
