Ranked: the 12 highest rated severe overpronation running shoe models (2024)
When a runner overpronates, their heel strikes the ground first but their ankle cannot stabilise itself. The foot rolls excessively inward and strain is put on the inner foot and toes, which then have to compensate and do most of the work in the push-off. For severe overpronation this is even more excessive and is typical among people with a low arch, although not everyone with a low arch will overpronate.
